Sunset House

This dive-friendly resort is located near the southwestern tip of Grand Cayman, one mile south of the capital city of George Town. Sunset House consists of 57 guestrooms in several two-story buildings set beside an outdoor pool and a rocky beach with a man-made “sea pool” that leads to the open ocean.

The resort offers numerous amenities for complete dive vacations, including five custom dive boats, freshwater rinse tanks, and a full-service dive shop that supplies dive-site maps. Dive excursions include two-tank dives every morning, afternoon, and evening dives, and all levels of instruction.

Popular dives just offshore include Amphitrite, a renowned nine-foot-tall bronze mermaid, and the landmark wreck of The Nicholson. High-speed Internet access (surcharge) is available in Sunset House's lobby.

    Sit back in air-conditioned comfort as this underwater observatory cruises past coral reefs teeming with fish and several shipwrecks. Although the vessel doesn't dive below the surface, the views it delivers are amazing.
